When Compass’s safety check flags a message as a crisis, Compass sets the schoolwork aside and points the student to real people and helplines. Compass is for schoolwork, not emergencies: if you or someone else may be in danger, tell a trusted adult or call your local emergency number. And because Compass never hands over the answer, it helps schools support students without opening the door to AI doing their work.
